On my way to a dental appointment in ABQ on Eubanks when I noticed boarded-up windows and graffiti at the Ramada Inn. Driving down Eubanks, I saw busted windows at many businesses. I talked to my dentist, and they said their windows have also been busted out, and they are SICK AND TIRED of the crime! Both districts I drove through have democrat representatives. It's time for a change! The democrat “defund the police” and “soft on crime” approach is not working. We desperately need mental health, rehab centers, substantial penalties and actual bail for criminals, a District Attorney that will prosecute people, and Republican leadership that cares about business owners and the community. #EnoughIsEnough ... All of Albuquerque is starting to look like a ghetto

That Ramada has been closed for the last few years and same with that pet store. Those aren't functioning businesses anymore, sad reality in new mexico and never seems to change regardless if we have republican or democratic leadership in place anymore 🤔

It's why I left Albuquerque for Los Lunas 4 years ago. Now it's starting to look like Albuquerque. It's growing too fast and the infrastructure can't keep up. I liked it a lot more when it was just a village.

It's frustrating we live in this neighborhood and the crime is ridiculous. Everything on this side of town closes by 8 pm. We have lived in our home for 18 years, it used to be a nice area and now our quiet little neighborhood has turned into the War zone. #VoteRedNM We need real change.

I was sad to see that a popular store, Cato Fashions, had to close because of increased crime. The store was located in the four hills shopping center at tramway and central. A store clerk told me they no longer felt safe working there due to many instances they endured. What can you and I do to help these businesses that are feeling threatened by crime?

That area is embarrassing. My brother came to visit in 2012 and stayed in that area. The clientele were those who manned the corners begging then would come back shower and go out for dinner dressed very nicely.

That area of town is fraught with crime and homeless. When I was a commercial property manager, this is what I dealt with on a daily basis. Cleaning the urine and feces from the retail strips is another expense landlords have to deal with. The police use to come when we called but now Keller has told them to stand down. Social workers are sent instead and u see how well that is working. I can't believe we voted this man into office again.

It's everywhere! It's tough to determine which businesses are actually open and which are out of business given the amount of windows boarded up on the buildings.

Cato Fashions in the foothills in Albuquerque just closed for good this week due to high crime in the area. One of my favorite places to shop.😧It's to bad for the the community, and lost jobs in the area!!

Praying this is the year for change. So sick of the crime, the homicides, and the slap on the wrist mentality of our so called leadership!!

Yes, that used to be a very nice part of town. Now it's overtaken by criminals. We need tougher penalties and our leaders to hold criminals accountable. We deserve to have a safe place to live and raise our children.

It’s horrible 😭 we need change.

Past time for as change. This is TOTALLY Unacceptable ‼️‼️‼️😡

The city doesn't do anything, pd is scared to do anything because they're afraid that they'll get fired and the judges won't do anything because they themselves are afraid they'll lose their seats

First, using Republican scare points is incorrect as a diagnosis. This is not a partisan issue. First, the "Defund the Police" is an unfortunate slogan that should've said, " Demilitarize the Police". After 9-11 our country, the Feds, unloaded surplus military equipment on our civilian police force. The idea is to treat American citizens as an enemy rather than be in service to civilization. Also, our police force has been infiltrated by the Radical Right. Second, the "Soft on Crime" trope has been used against Democrats to the point where they have presided over an incarceration state like never seen in History. Our country has the highest incarceration rate than any other nation. It is now recognized as the The New Jim Crow. Obviously, punitive actions have not worked to curtail crime. What will turn the tide is early childhood interventions. Bad adults are a result of bad childhoods. NM is finally putting forth our resources to mitigate childhood trauma. You know what else cuts crime? Abortion Abortion is a Moral Choice & we should encourage it for women unprepared to have babies. Reproductive control should be a cultural conditioning. Instead, we shame & criminalize it.

This isn't a political issue it's a human issue and the fact that YOU HAVE TRIED TO MAKE IT ABOUT POLITICS only means you should be no where near any form of Government. Maybe get off your ass and help do something about it lend a helping hand instead of getting on FB put in the damn work instead of complaining.

That's the place the city sends everyone for motel vouchers.. wow just wow. They don't like hearing my opinion about that.. I was surprised the city let's people libe in those conditions then I wondered where the motel vouchers money goes for. I have a receipt from one of the vouchers. They pay pretty good for those vouchers..I was wondering myself where does all that voucher money go. I have a receipt on accident of how much the city pays... I was shocked the city allows people to live in those conditions..I hav pics from the time they made me pretend to be homeless to get housing through heading home. Still no housing even though I am on disability income...even though they made me live in those conditions bugs, needles. I have pics to prove. Something was fishy. And the owners were super sweet .but I think they have a contract with the city..if it was anyone else's property they would be condemned.

Starbucks Menaul and Carlisle. Lots of businesses up and down central. Starbucks Central and Standord. Hell, my building on Lomas and Pennsylvania some druggie was yelling at himself in the window then broke a $900 window. While we were cleaning up and boarding it at night, some other druggie broke in to a car at the car lot across the street and was doing drugs in the car and got in a stand-off with police.

Just look around Central...

Currently in Radioactive and Hazardous Materials Committee. I arrived in Clovis very late last night after our crime town hall. So many GREAT ideas were presented by Representative candidate Gregg Cunningham and Nicole Chavez, Rep Bill Rheem, Gov candidate Mark Ronchetti and myself to fix the crime issues that plague NM! Stay tuned for pictures I took around ABQ yesterday! ... See MoreSee Less
