Local DEA officials say fentanyl is the top drug threat in Albuquerque.

According to a leaked audio recording, Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham admits that the border is wide open. Nevertheless, the governor and radical left-wing Democrats stopped every bill we sponsored to address the border and the fentanyl crisis.

Yet, even Gavin Newsom, the radical liberal governor of California, passed a bill this year that increases penalties for fentanyl distribution. Operation CalGuard, a crackdown on drug smuggling in California, recently seized 1.1 million fentanyl pills. Democrats in New Mexico can pass solutions if they stop politicizing this issue and work with us to protect our border.

As soon as I am re-elected, I will present my bill to increase the punishment of drug traffickers in the 2025 session. Additionally, I will reintroduce legislation to secure New Mexico’s border to protect its citizens.
